We collaborate with the world for the health of everyone in it.The Senior Director, Alliance Management will lead strategic alliances within the Cardiopulmonary and Ophthalmology area of the Innovative Medicine Group. Main responsibilities include providing critical input for crafting partnerships and negotiating alliances, leading post-deal strategic objectives, shaping the relationship between partners and ensuring day-to-day activities are delivered. The Senior Director will ensure clear communication lines across the partnership are in place and will need to work with internal and external stakeholders to anticipate and resolve potential issues that arise. The Senior Director, Alliance Management will report to the Business Development Vice President.This individual will be assigned specific alliances within the TA and will have a direct report with oversight of multiple alliances with varying complexity. The Senior Director will lead partnership integration through all phases of development and commercialization, including negotiation of subsequent agreements and partnership ways of working. The Senior Director will implement Alliance Management programmatic processes and tools appropriate to the scope and needs of the alliance. He/she will proactively foster coordination and alignment of all internal and external partners to the goals and objectives of the alliance. The Senior Director will participate as a member of the J&J internal and joint R&D and commercial project teams and will facilitate joint alliance governance meetings and decisions. to. This individual will openly, proactively, and clearly communicate across all lines of the partnership including Senior Management. This position will require the ability to anticipate and resolve issues and conflicts arising out of changing priorities and unpredictable events. The Senior Director will monitor the progress of the contract obligations and milestones and effectively monitor the satisfaction of the partner. Qualifications <ul><li>A BS degree is required.</li><li>An advanced degree (MS, MBA, Ph.D., etc.) in a scientific, technical or commercial field is preferred.</li><li>A minimum of 10 years related experience, working in a scientific, technical or commercial organization is required.</li><li>Experience in operations or program management is preferred.</li><li>Experience developing and managing timelines, budgets and similar details on multiple large-scale projects or in a significant line capacity is required.</li><li>Leadership experience, managing and working in a large Cross-Functional team environment is required, with a proven ability to mobilize and align diverse groups across multiple functions and companies to build interdependent partnerships with all organizational levels.</li><li>An understanding of drug development and global commercialization is required.</li><li>Demonstrated strengths in problem solving, negotiation, and decision making will be needed, in addition to experience in working with senior levels within the organization.</li><li>Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills as well as strong communication and listening skills are required.</li><li>Ability to manage Cross-Functional complexities, think strategically and exercise good judgment is required. </li><li>Travel up to 20% as required</li></ul>The anticipated base salary for this role is: $173,000-$299,000.Johnson & Johnson is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
